On October 1, 2024, new electricity tariffs officially came into force in Northern Cyprus, which affected all consumers - both individuals and companies. According to the Turkish Cypriot Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK), electricity prices have increased by 15% for all tariff types. Fixed commissions also increased, which were raised by 19.19%, which is associated with a change in the level of the minimum wage.

Major changes in electricity tariffs:

One-time tariff : fee for 1 kW/h increased from 10.7374 to 12.3480 TL.

Standard tariff for the population:

  • 0–250 kWh per month: price increased from 3.7414 to 4.3026 TL.

  • Over 1000 kW/h : from 10.7376 to 12.3482 TL.
