Exchange title (Turkish name Esdeger). The meaning of the exchange title is that the TRNC state gave Turkish Cypriots real estate in Northern Cyprus in exchange for real estate that they owned in Southern Cyprus, but were forced to leave due to the conflict between South and the Northern Part in 1974.
In the early years of the founding of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, the government gave Turkish Cypriots a certain number of points (depending on the number and size of real estate they owned in Southern Cyprus). Turkish Cypriots exchanged points for real estate in Northern Cyprus, which was previously owned by Greek Cypriots.
Gift title (Turkish name Tahsiz (Tahsiz) or TMD. Such real estate was given to Turks, government officials or the military. As a rule, these were agricultural lands.
